Websites For and By Woman Who Have Been Around The Block A Few Times

One thing we noticed as we got older is that it became more of a challenge to find websites and online communities that spoke to us. For some reason It was like people thought that once you reached 40 you stopped logging on or caring about certain things which could not be further from the truth.

Mature women share information online.

Mature women code.

Mature women blog about beauty, fashion and style and we do a darn good job at it all.

One of our goals is to develop the ultimate list of sites specifically for and/or by the seasoned woman. If you know a site that should be on our radar, please share it with us in the comments below. In turn, we will update this post when we come across a site that excite us. Let’s prove the naysayers wrong.

We’ll start with a list of our go-to blogs. More coming soon!

Celebrating the Older Woman and Giving Her A Voice

“Your 40s are good.  Your 50s are great.  Your 60s are fab.  And 70 is f*@king awesome!”  ~Helen Mirren

As the team behind the Lifestyle Beauty Network, we’ve been gathering frequently to discuss the future of the LBN. One point that came up recently was our experience and confidence as mature adults, and as we were talking about it, we had a collective epiphany.

“Nature gives you the face you have at twenty; it is up to you to merit the face you have at fifty.”~Coco Chanel

We are a culture that often has a very narrow view of beauty and lifestyles. There are common ideas of what people should look like, have and do at various stages in their life. We want to leave those outdated idea’s in the dust and honor the aging process by highlighting products, services, and individuals that help the seasoned woman have the life they want and deserve.

“Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.”~Mark Twain

So we are on a new mission. That mission is to celebrate the older woman and to amplify her voice.

The Beauty of New York City Holiday Windows

The holidays are usually one of the busiest seasons for a company and to be honest, we all know it can be nerve-racking. That is why this past weekend, on a whim we called up a friend who is a videographer and took a trip to see all the incredible window displays. One can’t help but be energized by these works of art put together by small armies of fashion stylists and artists showing off the latest high fashion trends, classic fantasies and social commentary. While it is all commerce, we finally felt the Christmas spirit show itself in the midst of the holiday madness.

We are happy we captured that moment and want to share it with you. Have a look at our video celebrating these iconic New York City displays and let us know which is your favorite.

We hope all our fellow business owners are having a spectacular and gratifying holiday season.
